Sweet and salty this dark chocolate bark is a great go to snack or a treat for a party.

  • 10oz Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut (shredded)
  • 3/4-1 cups raw pecans (finely chopped (amount depends on how nutty you want your bark))
  • 1-3 teaspoon sea salt

  • 1/2 cup chopped dried cherries (can use in addition to or instead of coconut for a different flavor)

Who doesn't love a salty and sweet treat once in awhile. I make these treats for school or personal parties and they always vanish quickly. I love a good treat and one that is healthy is always my first choice. I, personally, love to use Enjoy Life semi-sweet chocolate mini chips as it's organic and allergy friendly.

Step 1. Finely chop raw pecans OR slightly roast them on a baking sheet at 350 for 10 minutes prior to chopping them.
Step 2.
Place parchment paper down on a 2L or 9x13 Pyrex and place your nuts, chocolate chips and coconut into the dish on top of the parchment paper. Mix the ingredients and spread it out evenly in the pan
Step 3. Grind a little bit of salt onto the mixture - tastes vary
Step 4. Place Pyrex with ingredients into oven warmed to 350 then turn oven off. The residual heat will melt the chocolate as the oven cools.
Step 5. Take out of the oven once melted, about 20 minutes, and let cool. You can push down any pecans not imbedded into the chocolate if you wish.
Step 6. Dark Chocolate Coconut Pecan Bark Finished
Once cooled you can break it into serving size pieces about 2 inches each.
